Winning Technologies, a Business Management Company that specializes in the alignment of business and technology, announces it has received The U. S. Department of Labor’s 2018 HIRE Vets Medallion Program Demonstration Award for leadership in recruiting, employing and retaining our nation’s veterans.
Winning Technologies was named a Platinum Award winner in the small business category. Honorees include small businesses, community-based nonprofits and Fortune 500 companies. Recipients represent 42 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. All demonstrated a commitment to veteran hiring and retention, and provide veteran-specific resources, leadership programming, dedicated human resources and compensation and tuition assistance.
The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing (HIRE) American Military Veterans Act, creating the HIRE Vets Medallion Program, was signed into law in 2017. In issuing a Final Rule last year establishing criteria and processes for the program, the Department announced that 2018 would be a demonstration of the program prior to full implementation in 2019.
“The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes job creators who successfully recruit, hire and retain America’s veterans. All honorees must meet a strict criteria to earn this recognition. As a veteran owned company we’re especially proud to receive this award and we invite all veterans to learn how we can support your career by visiting our website at Winning Technologies,” said Scott Lewis, CEO of Winning Technologies.
